Promotional Art

As you all no doubt already know, my next book to explore the Atrocissimus, All-American Werewolf, will be published later this summer. To help get the word out I've been creating promotional "posters" made from artwork I located online and to which I've added lettering. I like 'em, so I'll be adding these posters here to create an archive of them.

What is the Atrocissimus ? The word itself comes from Latin, meaning "the most hostile" or "the firecest" and is a convenient single word to encapsulate the world of horror I've set out to expose. Vampires

Vampires are another one of those foul, evil creatures that appear throughout history and in every culture in one way or another.  In ancient Persia, blood-sucking creatures that attacked people in the night were thought to be some kind of demon or some other evil spirit -- which is fairly close to the truth, as I will reveal in time. The ancient Babylonians had the Lilitu while the Greeks had Empusa , which we would understand as alluring female vampires. Meanwhile, ancient India had the Vetalas , which were more like ghouls, and Indonesia has the Manananggal , a beautiful older woman who, at night, separates her upper body from her lower half and sprouts bat-like wings in order to feed on the blood of unsuspecting victims.  Other stories can be found in cultures all around the world and through different time periods. A Blackstone Manor Timeline

The history of Blackstone Manor is, in many ways, at the very center of my book, The House on Blackstone Hill . This history is alluded to throughout the book, and a select timeline of it is given at one point in the narrative.
